7 Tips for Victory in Jesus Christ + Bible Verses!
These 7 tips and stories based on scriptures teach you how to walk in victory! Bible verses state that we have the Victory if we live by the spirit and follow Jesus' path.
Did you say the salvation prayer and expect to be transformed immediately? If yes, we were in the same boat. When I got saved, I expected to be victorious like Jesus and walk in my purpose immediately. However, I realized that our walk and sanctification process (becoming pure) is slow and not a quick microwavable process.
Instead, to have victory in my life… I had to learn to eat, drink, and live out the word of God. The scriptures on victory give us a formula to live a Godly life and it is our job to apply it. We need his strength because being kind, patient, forgiving, and focused on God during hard times isn’t as easy as it sounds. So, we need God’s strength and pruning to help us to be disciplined and committed to walking out this process completely, with humility.
There is no need to worry! God will have the victory in every problem and battle. Your story isn’t done unless God is glorified and His plan is revealed. God completes every story he starts. “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith” Hebrews 12:2
“If you want victory you have to start praying like you have already won the battle!”
I have learned a few tips I would like to share that I believe will teach you how to have victory in all areas of your life.
7 Tips From Bible Verses:
#1 You’re wasting your time without Love.
You can’t get closer to God if your heart is impure and filled with hate. When their is a trial in life it is a TEST or a CHALLENGE that God wants you to pass. The goal of every trial, test, tribulation, or challenge is to get closer to God, grow spiritually, and love people the way God does. If you can’t grow in those areas you will repeat the same problems and continue to walk in DEFEAT and lose.
“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a ringing gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have absolute faith so as to move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and exult in the surrender of my body, but have not love, I gain nothing.” – 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
Everything must be done in love – prayer, fasting, and reading the Bible. Without love, you are just doing things to feel better about yourself not please God. You can’t feed the poor for people to see you or to earn a place in heaven. God likes cheerful givers and he wants you to LOVE the poor. He wants you to empathize with the poor. And, He wants you to love them like you love yourself or your own family.
#2 Inner Healing: Be Filled With The Spirit!
Many times, people are unable to love God, themselves, and other people because they are broken. The Holy Spirit goes into the dark places in our heart but if we choose darkness… The Holy Spirit can’t clean that area of our heart. We have to allow God to reveal manipulation, control, fear, rejection issues, guilt, etc. The Holy Spirit will allow you to see broken pieces of yourself so that you can give God permission to fix it.
During the Inner Healing process:
– You must rid yourself of emotional baggage from your past
– Breaking patterns that you have from parents or family
– Learn new healthy patterns to be successful
– Seek help from a professional counselor or empowerment coach
#3 When we are weak, He is strong.
Sometimes there is nothing more you can do to be victorious. If you have done all that you can… It maybe time to wait on the Lord and let him fight your battles. “The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.” Exodus 14:14
“For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.“ Deuteronomy 20:4
#4 Wait on the Lord.
Why does God make us wait when it’s painful? He makes us wait because we learn discipline in being like Jesus when it’s hard. We have time to grow and become more mature. And, it gives God time to teach us about who He is and how he wants to make the world better. You will need to learn the six reasons God makes you wait and tips to help you wait on God during this time.
#5 He gives us all we need to conquer evil.
We can walk in victory with scriptures. We don’t have to be controlled by our desires. We can walk on the straight and narrow path where God will guides us into purity. But, that takes trust and discipline. Trust & discipline to do the right thing even when temptation is pounding at our door.
“No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13
#6 God doesn’t break promises.
No matter what situation you are in… God promised to give you peace if you ask for it and have faith you’ll receive it. “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Phillipians 4:6-7
God doesn’t break His promises. In one of the thousands of promises in the Bible, He reminds us that hears us and will deliver us from our trouble. So, all we have to do is wait for him and he WILL remove the impossible problems from our lives.
So many of us have accepted defeat in many areas of our lives. However, we have to have FAITH that God doesn’t lie nor change his mind. If he promised to give us peace, fight our battles, heal us, help us escape evil in the Bible… Then, we must pray for the strength to patiently wait for what He promised us.
#7 Encourage yourself with stories of victory in the Bible.
Two of my favorite stories of victory in the Bible are the story of Job and Jesus. These stories reminds me that you can do EVERYTHING right and still have problems in your life. Jesus was betrayed, ridiculed, and murdered. Job was judged, he lost everything, and he had a horrible illness.
However, God used the situations for his glory. Jesus freed all of humanity from sin and gave us access to the father. Job was healed and given back everything he lost. My advice to you is… Wait on the Lord. Don’t let your bad situations tell you that God isn’t there. God is fighting for you and YOU will be victorious if you wait on the Lord. Be blessed!
“God is about to move some mountains (problems)! Praise him with mustard seed faith for the victory. He is willing and able.“
