12 Steps to Level Up as a Woman

Are you looking to level up in life? Well then, I'm here to help you finish 2021 strong and enter 2022 as a fierce, classy, elegant, and determined woman.

Hey Gorgeous! Are you ready to take your life to the next level?

To level up means “to make a move in your life or career for the better.” We’re almost half way through the year… And, I’m here to help you finish 2024 with strength and confidence, like a determined and elegant woman. Did you know that every time you work to improve yourself, you’re leveling up? Just like a fine wine, you get better and better with age & time!

I remember seeing this breathtakingly beautiful woman when I was about 19. She was confident, beautiful, and stylish. She walked into the room and I just immediately wanted to be just like her. I actually said: “I want to be like you when I grow up.” The woman giggled and said: “It’s never too late.” On another day, I met another lady that was just as fabulous in the nail salon and she gave my friends and I some advice. She said: “The key to life is to keep getting better and better.” These moments inspired my process to level up each year.

#1 Confront Limiting Beliefs

You came to this article because you’re eager to go from A to Z and fulfill the desires and dreams of your heart. But what’s stopping you from becoming the best version of yourself? Take a moment to ask yourself: Who do I want to be? What is holding me back?

It’s time to face your limiting beliefs that tell you that you’re not capable of achieving your goals. The truth is that you are powerful and have the ability to do the impossible. You have a unique purpose, and with determination and the right mindset, you can reach the next level of success. Surround yourself with people who believe in you and refuse to let negative thoughts or obstacles hold you back. It’s time to confront your limiting beliefs and unleash your full potential.

#2 OWN Your Beauty

Sweetie, I want you to love yourself so much that you walk into a room knowing that YOU are worth everyone’s attention.

You are an absolutely beautiful woman and you were created with a unique personality, style, and presence. To level up, you must OWN your inner and outer beauty. You must learn what makes YOU you.

Self-discovery is the key to owning your beauty and walking confidently. I’m not just talking about introspection and sorting out your feelings. I’m talking about discovering the beauty in the slant of your eyes, the feminine energy you release when you laugh, the warmth you radiate when you love, and the womanliness you exude with every sway of your hips. Yes, I’m talking about embracing all that makes you a WOMAN.

Here are some questions to help you explore your ability to OWN your beauty:

  • Do you love your facial features?
  • Do you feel comfortable with and without makeup?
  • Are you comfortable expressing yourself?
  • Do you love yourself and have good self esteem?
  • Do you love your unique personality and style?
  • Do you dim your light, so others feel more comfortable?
  • Are you fearful of attracting too much attention?
  • Do you know what your inner power is and how special you are?
  • What do you bring to the table in business and relationships?

On my self-discovery journey, I learned that I was afraid of shinning too bright. I didn’t want others to feel self conscious. But, I realized that was holding me back in every area. The truth is, God created me exactly how He wanted me and I can’t change the world if I’m afraid of being me. How can you change the world if you don’t allow your true self to shine?

#3 Practice Self-Care

The second step in leveling up is learning to embrace your entire being.Unfortunately, If you are low on self love then you won’t make the time to groom your inner and external beauty. People can tell when you love yourself and it makes them treat you differently. Yes, it makes people notice you which opens the door for the relationships, business connections, and friendships that you are looking for.

Self-care isn’t about trying to be the BEST or becoming someone that you are not. It’s about taking the time to take proper care of yourself and put your best image out for the world to see. You don’t have to be a certain weight or dress like a fashion model, but you do have to aim to be excellent in how YOU CHOOSE to appear to the world.

  • Doing nice things for yourself.
  • Prioritize having fun and doing things that make you happy.
  • Take time to put a neat outfit together.
  • Practicing good hygiene and wearing deodorant matters.
  • Well brushed teeth, tongue, and regular breath mints as needed.
  • Neatly styling your hair.
  • Well manicured nails and moisturized skin.
  • Throwing away old and unraveled clothing & items.
  • Try a new clothing style and makeup look.
  • Organizing and cleaning up your living space.
  • Visiting the doctor and maintaining nutritional health.
  • Exercising and physically moving throughout the day.
  • Take breaks and vacations to slow down and reset as needed.

Remember, it’s the little things that often keep us stuck. Take the time to present yourself as a clean and classy lady. And also, make space in your life to breathe, love, and rest.

#4 End Toxic Relationships

Toxic relationships and friendships can hold you back and prevent you from reaching your full potential. These types of relationships can come in various forms, such as romantic, platonic, familial, or professional. If someone in your life consistently brings negativity, drama, or doesn’t support your growth and well-being, it may be time to end the toxic attachment.

Of course, ending a toxic relationship is easier said than done, especially if it involves a spouse or partner. In such cases, seeking the help of a licensed therapist can be invaluable in exploring your options and determining what’s best for your mental health and overall well-being. Remember, you deserve to be in healthy, supportive relationships that uplift and empower you.

#5 Cultivate Emotional Health

Cultivating emotional health involves taking care of your mental and emotional well-being. Emotional health is important because it can impact your physical health, relationships, and overall quality of life. One way to improve emotional health is by clearing out emotional baggage,  reciting affirmations about: confidence, self-love, and emotional wellness

Emotional baggage refers to unresolved emotions and negative feelings that we carry with us from past experiences. These emotions can include anger, sadness, guilt, shame, and fear. Emotional baggage can hold us back from achieving our goals, maintaining healthy relationships, and living a fulfilling life. Essentially, clearing out emotional baggage will allow you to move passed your emotional limitations and step into your dream life.

#6 Set Life Goals

What are you pursuing in life? It’s time you outline it carefully. Goals shouldn’t just be for your career, but it should be for your emotional and social growth. In 2012, I made a decision not be be passive aggressive. In 2013, I decided to live my life with no regrets. And in 2021, I decided to make 2020-29 my funnest decade YET!

What goals do you have?

  • Write a book and get it published?
  • Do you want to journal more?
  • Are you wanting to get closer to God?
  • Do you want more emotional healing?
  • Do you want to wear heels more often?
  • Are you committing to spend more time with family and friends?
  • Wanting to open a business?

Sweetie, you have one life to live. I STRONGLY encourage you to live life to the fullest. What is it that you have always wanted, but have put on the back burner? It’s time to make that one of your priorities!

Oh my! Haven’t we all wasted time with the wrong friends, romantic interest, and scrolling through facebook/instagram?

My sweet friend, it’s time to kick all those distractions to the curve. You don’t have time for that. You have goals that you need to accomplish and they aren’t going to get done if you’re wasting time!

  • Create specific goals and fiercely pursue them.
  • Make a schedule and put specific times to talk on the phone and hang out with people.
  • Limit your use of social media (I use screen time and I had someone else set the passcode for me.)
  • Avoid getting into silly arguments and sticky situations that just don’t matter.
  • Stick to your schedule and decide to work on your goals.

#9 Embrace your Inner Boss

Are you wanting to level up in your career? Women in high places are needed to close the gender inequality gap. And women are needed to bring a feminine balance to male dominated industries. The key to accessing and thriving in male dominated industries is embracing your feminine leadership traits.

As we said earlier, you need to OWN the room. In fact, OWN everything about yourself. Stop apologizing for taking up space and being a natural leader. Do your thing hunny and don’t be afraid to ruffle a few feathers when you SHINE. You are kind, cute, elegant, patient, and focused on winning. You got this.

Focus on developing a BOSS Mentality. According to Urban Dictionary the meaning of Lady Boss:knows what she wants and goes for it. She’s in charge of her life and makes no apologies or excuses for who she is.

#10 Find your tribe

Finding your tribe is an essential part of personal and professional growth. As a woman, having a supportive community can help you build confidence, gain new perspectives, and achieve your goals.

When searching for your tribe, it’s important to consider the type of people you want to surround yourself with. Look for individuals who share similar interests, values, and goals. This will ensure that you are a part of a community that is aligned with your aspirations and can provide you with the support you need.

You can start by exploring different events, groups, and organizations in your local community. Joining a book club, taking dance classes, or attending networking events can be a great way to connect with like-minded individuals. You can also seek out professional organizations or groups related to your industry or career path. Additionally, online platforms are a great place to connect with other women, such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn offer groups and forums.

#11 Move In Silence

For women who are striving to achieve their goals and live their best lives, moving in silence can be a powerful strategy. It means keeping your personal plans, dreams, and secrets to yourself and only sharing them with those who have earned your trust and support.

When you keep your personal life private, you can avoid the negative energy and criticism that often come from others who may not understand or support your goals. This allows you to focus on your own growth and development without being distracted by the opinions of others.

Moving in silence can also help you stay grounded and focused on your priorities. When you share your plans and goals with others, it’s easy to get sidetracked by their expectations or opinions. But by keeping things to yourself, you can stay true to your vision and make decisions based on what’s best for you.

Of course, it’s important to find a balance between privacy and connection. It’s healthy to have trusted friends and mentors who can support you on your journey, but it’s also important to be mindful of who you share your personal life with.

Remember that moving in silence is not about being secretive or hiding who you are. It’s about protecting your energy and staying focused on your goals so that you can achieve your full potential as a woman on the move.

#12 Take Risks

Do you remember the days when you were bold and unafraid, dreaming big and powerful? What happened to that energy and passion? You only get one life to live, and playing it safe every day is the quickest way to make yourself unhappy.

I believe we were all created to take risks and live a little dangerously. High-risk activities release dopamine and adrenaline, giving us the same emotional high as falling in love. Pursuing our dreams automatically brings us joy and fulfillment.

When we start living out our dreams, we attract like-minded people who keep the fire burning inside us. This mutual inspiration can be incredibly powerful.

Before creating this website, I sat on the idea for over three years, watching my dream remain just an idea. It killed me inside. But when I finally took action, I felt God telling me that my inaction was making me unhappy. There’s a joy that comes from living out our dreams, and I’m fueled by helping others see how amazing they are through your email responses.
