What is the difference between self-esteem vs self-confidence?

The definition of self-esteem is “confidence in one’s own worth or abilities; self-respect,” according to Oxford Languages. While, the definition of self-confidence is, “a feeling of trust in one’s abilities, qualities, and judgment.”

These two words mean that someone is confident in themselves. The only thing I would add is, “self-esteem and self-confidence is loving yourself and refusing to let any negative energy change your positive view of who you are.” Identity is the most important thing.

In fact, many toxic relationships are geared at attacking your identity — who you are. If you don’t know who you are then you won’t be able to see a toxic person for who they are. Ultimately, they want you to keep thinking you’re worthless so you don’t think they are worthless. Both of you struggle with loving yourself.

This low self esteem test will help you to find out if you are loving yourself well or if you need to find ways to build your self-esteem and self-worth.
