30 New Year Prayer Points for 2024 + Scriptures

These new year prayer points will help you pray into unanswered prayers because 2022 is the year to HEAP rewards.

I have a word for you my friend and I’m so excited to share. God wants to speak to you this year about the prayers that you’ve been sending up. God has HEARD your prayers and cries. God sees your righteousness, obedience, and your patience while long suffering.

If God is making you wait on breakthrough then you’re in good company: Joseph waited 13 years. Abraham waited 25 years. Moses waited 40 years. Jesus waited 30 years.

Don’t let your weariness cause you to forget that God cares about the sick, hurting, broken, and lost. God has a plan for it all. “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9

Heap the year of rewards!

On July 4th, 2021, I had an exciting dream! In the prophetic dream the phrase, “Heap the year of rewards!” came before me. The words were surrounded by crops from a farm. I don’t think this was a word for ME. I think this was a 2024 word for US. We often pray so long about things we FORGET that God actually wants to do miracles, signs, and wonders. “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9

I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten— the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm—my great army that I sent among you. You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the Lord your God, who has worked wonders for you; never again will my people be shamed. Then you will know that I am in Israel, that I am the Lord your God, and that there is no other; never again will my people be shamed.” Joel 2:25-27

Prayer for the New Year

Dear God,

As I look back on 2023, I’m filled with gratitude for your constant presence in my life. You’ve been my anchor in both joy and challenge, providing when I needed it most and guiding me through the twists of life. Thank you for the laughter, the lessons, and the people you’ve placed in my life. Guard them, I pray.

As I step into the new year, I ask for strength in my faith journey. Search my heart, strip away what hinders our connection, and mold me into a reflection of your love. Let me endure trials, knowing they build character, just as it says in Romans 5:3-4.

I trust you to lead me on the path of righteousness. Bless my fellow believers globally, stirring up a spirit of prayer. I know you go before me Lord. I trust you to prepare us to overcome obstacles in 2024, and shield us from harm. May marriages, families, jobs, and finances be secured under your protection.

Thank you for the blessings and opportunities ahead. Enable me to share the good news with others and be a beacon of kindness. I release selfish desires, fears, and pride, embracing your guidance. Your will be done in my life, my family, and the world. I commit to following you faithfully. I love you Abba. Amen.

Prayer Points for Answered Prayers in 2024

  1. I delight in you O’Lord. I love your righteousness. I would wait a 1000 years for your best and I refuse to settle for temptations from Satan. Fortify my mind O’ Lord, so that I can continue to sing of your goodness and I wait for your mighty hand to move on my behalf. Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalms 37:4
  2. O’ Lord, pour out your wisdom on me. Help me to understand your plans for this earth and my life. Father, help me to pray according to your will and not my own. You are a mighty an Eternal Father and I will gladly surrender to your leadership. You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions.” James 4:3
  3. Quicken my spirit O’ Lord and give me strength to wait on your promises. I pray against demonic interferences that would try to stop your will from happening. I ask for supernatural wisdom and zeal to stand strong in the midst of demonic oppression and opposition. “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9
  4. Teach me your ways Father. Give me holy insight and wisdom to discern your ways. I submit to your guidance and open up my spirit for correct and redirection.Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” Jeremiah 33:3
  5. Abba father, I thank you that you are not a silent God. If there is anything that hinders my ability to hear you please remove it. You are always speaking and always present. Nothing can separate me from your love.Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” Jeremiah 33:3
  6. Holy Spirit illuminate my mind to the wisdom of God. Help me to understand the deep things that God desires for this world and help me to passionately partner with God to carry them out.Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.” Romans 8:26
  7. You are a good Father and you seek to bless me not harm me. I believe it despite what I see. I will continue to be grateful and think of the all the good you’ve already done for me. Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!” Matthew 7:7-11
  8. O’ Lord, I know that these situations are helping to strengthen my faith. Thank you that at the end of this I will be perfect and lacking in nothing.Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” James 1:2-4

Father, I ask you to give me the strength to keep going. I ask that you would fortify my mind so I wouldn’t look to the left or right as I follow your path. I ask for divine focus to walk on the straight and narrow path of righteousness.  “Consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” 2 Hebrews 12:3

Prayer Points to Trust God

  1. Abba, I am grateful for your pruning in 2021. You are answering my prayers about being more righteous and I appreciate that you are growing my discipline as we speak! “For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives.” It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline? If you are left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. Besides this, we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits and live?” Hebrews 12:5-11
  2. I am thankful that I can trust you with my life God because you are the promise keeper that never goes back on your word. “God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?” Numbers 23:19
  3. O’Lord, I know that answered prayers might not come when I want them OR in the way I want, but I trust you. I know that your word is true and you are working everything for the greater good. No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no heart has imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him.” Ephesians 1:9

  1. Thank you for keeping me at peace as I wait on your mighty hand to move in my life. You are a good father Abba. I will praise your name for all the world to hear. You are the alpha and the omega — the GREAT I AM. The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.” Lamentations 3:25
  2. Papa, I thank you for the rewards of the righteous. You don’t have to bless us, but you do. “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” Hebrews 11:6
  3. I am confident that the Lord will show his goodness and faithfulness over all my prayers this year. “When You did awesome works that we did not expect, You came down, and the mountains trembled at Your presence. From ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides You, who acts on behalf of those who wait for Him.” Isaiah 64: 3-4

I will stand hopeful till the end Father. I know that in due time I will reap a harvest, for you are a GOOD father that never goes back on your word. Has there been anything you’ve said that you didn’t do? You are the God that parted the sea, let your captives free, and helped humanity escape Satan’s grip with the blood of your son Jesus Christ. I trust in you. “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9

Prayer Points to Advance God’s Kingdom

The advancement of God’s kingdom begins in your heart and then your home. What would the world look like if the church wasn’t filled with lukewarm believers, but fiery hot believers that steward the truth and wisdom of God? It would look like revival. Use these prayer points to ignite individual and global change!

  1. I pray that testimonies of your goodness would leave the four walls of the church and impact the entire world. “Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples!” Psalm 105:1
  2. Lord, I pray the nations would bow at your feet and thank you for all you did at the cross. “And he fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks.” Luke 17:16
  3. Lord, I ask that you keep the intercessors burning with passion to declare your promises across this earth in prayer. “At midnight I rise to praise you, because of your righteous rules.” Psalm 119:62
  4. I praise your name for cleansing my entire family with the Blood of Christ. “And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” Acts 16:311
  5. I rejoice in you Lord because I don’t have to force the truth upon my Children. You are supporting my efforts and you will show all my children your truth, so they can have an opportunity to walk with you. “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” 3 John 1:4
  6. Abba, I thank you for offering salvation and eternal life to the ones that choose to accept Christ as their saviors. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
  7. Jehovah Rapha, our healer, thank you for healing the spiritual and physical bodies of your children. “Of David. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” Psalm 103:1-5
  8. I am thankful that you have equipped me with the strength to pray for the people around me that have hurt me. I look to Jesus’ example and thank him for his holy example of loving sinners into the kingdom. “Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted.” Hebrews 12:3
  9. Father, protect my relationships from the temptations of money, lust, selfishness, and division. Fortify our minds Lord, so all my relationships would promote unity and love. No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13

Prayer Points to Live Like Jesus

  1. Abba father, I thank you that you sent your son so I can be grafted into a holy and royal family. I do not take the blood of Jesus lightly. Your son died so I can be holy and experience true intimacy with you. This year I desire to know you more than even before. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13
  2. I desire to sit at your feet and mimic your loving ways. I desire to demonstrate love, forgiveness, patience, gentle kindness, and humility in all that I do. I ask for the fruits of the spirit to manifest in my life in a larger degree. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23
  3. I ask you to pull down hypocritical scales from my eyes, so I can rightly discern my own motives for prayer. O’ Lord, you are working in me and I’m excited that I get to be an ambassador of love and light on this earth. I see that you are helping me to defeat strongholds and conquer every demonic assignment that comes against myself, my family, and saints all across the globe. “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.” Matthew 7:3-5
  4. O’ Lord, I know you hear my prayers and see my desire to be a city on a hill that testifies of the goodness of God. Help me to not despise the situations you send to help male me holy and draw me closer to you. Give me strength and wisdom to pursue you in all my trials. Thank you for honoring my prayer Lord. Amen. “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a basket. Instead, they set it on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16
