Is he a real man? Sometimes I overhear people say: “I am a real man!” I smile knowing that a real man doesn’t necessarily mean what you think it does. A real man is NOT determined by owning all you want, being able to afford all you want, and achieving a whole lot!
The definition of a real man according to the bible: A real man is one that seeks to do the right thing and follow the directives of God in tough situations. When a “good man” is tested and endures hardships you will see if he is a real man. Real Christian men can stay righteous, kind, faithful, and holy even when Satan puts them in the hardest situation.
In order to become a real man, you have to first seek God! Let’s look at what the bible says in Matthew 6:33: “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and other things will be given to you as well.” This verse of the bible is pointing or telling us to (seek) in other words it means to go after something. In layman terms we could say “look for.”

1. To live the life of a real man: He must first seek God’s kingdom and his righteousness!
The bible says seek. Seek means to go after God’s kingdom and righteousness in all things! Seeking his kingdom and righteousness meaning asking God to bless us in whatever we want and whatever we need. We work hard to achieve it but God will give us what we need according to His will. Some men will work hard and not ever be a millionaire — Because working unto the Lord might be a garbage man that takes care of his family and worships God.

2. A real man will accept and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!
The first step to take in becoming THE REAL MAN is accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour. Acceptance opens you up to a new way of living. You begin to experience a new you and a better you. This also enables the real man in you to spring forth, At this point I know you might be asking who is THE REAL MAN?
3. A real Christian man REPENTS!
He will let go of the old self and embrace newness of life and living. He is willing to admit his wrongs and grow to become a better person. He lives a life where God would be pleased with him. He admits he is imperfect but is humble enough to ask God to help change his ways.
THE REAL MAN is one who is dead to the flesh, alive to the spirit, and guided by the principles in the word of God.
Dying to the flesh comes after He gives his life to christ. He tells the Lord, “I am ready to live my life the way you want me to! I don’t want to live the way I want to. I will give my total heart, desires, wants, and needs to you God. I want to be transformed from selfish, destructive, and worldly ways.” When this happens he becomes transformed into the real man.
4. YOU CAN NOT LIVE THE LIFE OF A REAL MAN OUTSIDE JESUS!
It is through the Holy spirit, a gift from God, that transforms our lives! He transforms our lives once we give him our all so that he can make the best version of us. Remember, you can’t be a good person without Jesus!
Remember, picking a man that has a relationship with God is the main key in deciding how to choose a life partner according the Bible! No one is perfect! But a man that can submit to the process of being perfected is the one that will be be the best match!
