4 Keys To Embrace Your Feminine Power

I, like most women, have believed the lie that femininity […]

I, like most women, have believed the lie that femininity is far removed from women who are opinionated, intelligent, bold in communication, ambitious and logical.  These false ideas of “femininity” cause me to fear how others perceive me from time to time.

I’m the type of girl that can have a differing opinion than five alpha males at a table and be cool defending myself. In fact, that has happened before and after interactions I wondered, “Was I too much?

After such interactions, I would sometimes try to calm my nerves by holding back my opinions and thoughts in conversations.

I’m learning that my ideas of femininity are incorrect.

God created  each woman uniquely on purpose. We were created as unique people to show a different side of God. Timidity hides the true self. If you are not being your true self, then you are living behind a mask.

The mask we tend to wear is one that makes OTHER people happy. But, what about you?  If you are  hiding apart of yourself because you are afraid of how others will perceive you… You are working from an area of fear. Caring too much about the happiness of others and not your own happiness is VERY unhealthy.

Now, don’t hear what I’m not saying. I’m not giving you permission to be inconsiderate and insensitive! I’m saying that you should love who you are and then make adjustments as you go along.

If I choose not to debate someone now… It isn’t because there is something wrong with me! I simply made a decision to resist the urge to share my thoughts or opinions!  Sometimes the other person may not be as confident, it might seem like I’m trying to argue, or it might make the person feel like I’m not listening to the actual point of the conversation.

Essentially, you are AWESOME and you do not have to be timid about who you were created to be. Timidity means that you are showing a lack of courage or confidence; easily frightened. So you aren’t timid… you’re proud of who you are and adjust yourself ONLY because you love people so much!

As you learn to embrace your true self you become a magnetic. People will be so attracted to the unique person inside. They’ll inquire about you and seek to gain the same freedom to be themselves. Can you imagine: your true personality coupled with a kind heart that loves and cares for others? That’s irresistible.

You do not have to fear being unfeminine; Just be who you were created to be in love! True femininity is being confident in the type of woman that God created you to be!

4 Ways for Women To Be Powerful, Not Timid

1.  Remove Fear – Fear should never dim or dull your shine. Woman are radiant creatures made to shine brightly. God created each woman differently. Therefore, femininity cannot look “one” way. Remember, true femininity is being confident in the type of woman that God created you to be!

2. You Have a Purpose –  God created you with a plan. He created you with your personality for a purpose.

Going into business? Then, God created you with an assertiveness that is needed to get the job done! Going into teaching? Maybe, you are very patient and forgiving. Maybe you’re called to be a pastor? You might want to correct people every-time they quote scripture improperly!

Do not despise the way you were created. Learn to harness the strengths and weaknesses of your personality.

3. Learn To Love Yourself – The thoughts of others should never mean more to you than GOD’s opinion of you or your OWN opinion of yourself. Yes, we grow from hearing the perspectives of others… But, the perspectives of others should not make you afraid to be your true self. Be yourself and then edit yourself as you go!!

4. Remain Teachable  – You were created for a purpose and you’re awesome! However, we all have room for growth. Our biggest strength can also be our biggest weakness. I may be very good at debating ideas but that can make people afraid to have opinions around me… I have to navigate when to engage and not to engage. I also have to be open to  growing from other people expressing that I made them feel poorly even if I didn’t mean to.

This inspires me to embrace my own femininity and be my authentic self in how God made me, a point of correction I could think of is the idea that women can become pastors which the Bible is clearly against, now I’m not saying women can’t lead, provide quality leadership, nor teach but they shouldn’t have roles that God reserved for men to do so at Church which is “Pastor” now this is just constructive criticism if you want more information read these in the links.. and I only want to correct you from a biblical basis since I believe this website has so much incredible potential to motivate women to make a change and impact as well as growing closer to God and spreading the truth of Jesus Christ
