7 steps to let your beauty from within shine

7 Tips To Let Your Inner Beauty Shine Bright !

As I’m writing this, I saw a beautiful woman with straight hair. It made me wonder, would I be just as beautiful if I straightened my kinky curly locks?

You can’t truly radiate if you don’t learn how to let your inner beauty shine. So many women have struggled with the concept of beauty, including myself. We often pursue clothes, make-up, and outward adornments to display the best version of ourselves. Yet, in doing so…

We often forget to show the world the BEST and sincerest version of ourselves, which is our inner beauty.
Inner Beauty

Inner beauty is the real beauty. Our beauty does not come from outward changes to the body. It comes from an inward beauty that transforms the outward state of our being. What does that mean?

It means, when we fall in love with who we are and the unique way that God has created us… it causes us to dress or behave outwardly in a way that reflects the unique person on the inside.

For me, I have had the same face for 29 years. However, as I started to love my inward self and become a healthier person… It caused me to dress and behave in the unique way that my heart craved. As I embraced all of me, It seemed that others noticed my beauty even more.

Beauty States Deep Within

So, I would have to agree that beauty starts deep within ourselves. Real beauty starts with LOVING yourself – the quirks, weaknesses, strengths, and eccentricities of who you are!

Sister — Our ultimate goal is to see ourselves the way that God does. God created us in his image, we were born to be a beautiful reflection of his perfection.

I have not arrived to completion in my journey of feeling fully beautiful. It is a constant journey. As I’m writing this, I saw a beautiful woman with straight hair. It made me wonder, would I be just as beautiful if I straightened my kinky curly locks?
Let Your Inner Beauty Shine

A little moment later, while still writing this blog, I saw another beautiful woman with kinky curly hair…. At that moment I thought, Maybe I would look better if my curls were as defined as hers?

I realized with those two conflicting thoughts exactly what I’m trying to convey to you — Beauty is bigger than what we think it is. Their beauty was not truly their hair — It was being comfortable and embracing who God created them to be.

We are all different. Some tall. Some small. Some blonde. Some big eyes. Some blue eyes.  The people we usually want to look like are people that most likely learned to love their “odd” beauty by embracing their uniqueness.

Learn to love the thing you hate about yourself the most and watch people fall in love with it too! Also, the more we love every inch of ourselves is the more we are able to see beauty in everyone around us!

What is the inner beauty of a woman?

It’s knowing that you are UNIQUE and NO one can take your special place in the world or someone’s heart. Don’t compare yourself to anyone. You are a masterpiece and so is she. You are both beautiful in totally different ways. You have to KNOW this for yourself, you cannot let any circumstance or person tell you other wise.

Fully accepting our unique beauty and encouraging others to accept their beauty, can transform a world that is broken. The world is filled with people that seek to cut and snip every inch of themselves to feel beautiful. We can convince them that every inch is beautiful by embracing our own beauty!

How to Cultivate Inner Beauty

Here are some practical steps to help you find and show the world your inner and outward beauty:

1. Live uniquely

God created you to be someone very unique (1 Corinthians 12:18-30). Your silly quirks, facial features, body shape, and personality traits that you have are on purpose.

When you try to be someone else, you are not glorifying God. Let your inner light shine! Learn to love yourself and others won’t be able to resist falling in love with you.

2. Beauty is different but equal in God’s eye

If you feel beautiful because you look better than others, that is not true beauty. When you tap into who God has created you to be it causes you to see everything differently.

It allows you to see everyone – including yourself – as an equally perfect reflection of a different aspect of God.

It’s just like the trees. The palm tree and the oak tree are different in size and type of leaves but equally beautiful.

3. Assume you know nothing

Live from a place of humility. Listen to others. Learn from others. Seek not to win. Seek to understand. Pray that God would give you wisdom. Know that you understand only a small perspective and part of the world. Everyday: Allow God to expand your heart, vision, and understanding of the world and people.

4. Do not let your pain direct your steps

Do what is necessary to receive healing in your heart. Do not let the pain in your heart cause you to hurt others or yourself. Get therapy, talk to a friend. Whatever it takes. Do not let your pain make you bitter or ruin your life.

5. Live selflessly

Live for something more than yourself. Live for God. Live to please and honor God. Love others despite their short-comings. Live as if God is always watching your every move and decision. Live knowing that if no one loves you, God will always love and be with you.

6. Have A Good Aura

Develop a relationship with God. To do so, pray and read the written word. Follow the word’s advice for living a good life. Meditate on the word of God. Spending time with Jesus produces beauty inside you. The beauty produced inside will make us smell just like Heaven. People will wonder where we got that scent and crave it too!

7. Be THANKFUL

According to God’s word, he has given us EVERYTHING we need to get through bad situations. Thank GOD for all the good things in your life. Ask him for the wisdom to get through your trials. Focus on WHAT you HAVE and NEVER be consumed with what you do not have. Be content. Be grateful. Love the people in your life. Do not be consumed and focused on what you don’t or can’t have!

Prayer: Jesus, I pray that you would help us to love ourselves and others the way that you do. I pray that we can be pure and righteous in our thoughts towards ourselves and others. I thank you for all the good gifts that you have given. I pray that I would not focus on what I do not have… But I would focus on how good you are and continue to thank you and worship you no matter what.
